What we found

The machine was powered on, and it was observed that it only performed the water fill cycle. The timer control was then inspected and manually advanced, successfully activating the compressor, circulation pump, and fan. The machine was allowed to operate to verify ice production; however, the transitions between operating cycles were observed to be excessively slow. Recommendation: Replacement of the timer control is recommended, as it shows signs of malfunction that may be causing the improper operating sequence and delayed cycle transitions.

What we found

The water inlet was inspected and found to be properly connected. The drainage line was then checked, and it was discovered that the evaporator has a Freon leak; this prevents the unit from cooling correctly, causing the ice to melt and resulting in water leakage.

What we found

The refrigerator was inspected, initially verifying that both the condenser fan and evaporator fan were operating properly. The evaporator was then inspected for any signs or evidence of a possible Freon leak. Finally, the compressor was tested by installing a service valve to check the system pressures. Based on the tests performed, it was determined that the compressor is not compressing the Freon properly, which is causing the refrigerator to not cool adequately. Compressor replacement is recommended.

The problem

The dryer was running but not heating. The customer reported it to our booking team.

What we found

We ran a full diagnostic. The dryer had power and its 240-volt supply was present at the outlet. We checked the sensors, thermal fuses and related components and found the heating element broken (no continuity), so the dryer could not heat.

What we did

The part was on the truck. We sent the customer an estimate, she approved it, and we replaced the heating element on the same visit. The dryer is heating again.

The problem

The residential nugget ice machine turned on but made no ice.

What we found

We found the circulation pump inside burned out, so no water was circulating through the system.

What we did

The customer approved the repair. The pump was in stock on our truck, and we replaced it in under an hour. The machine is making ice again.

The customer told us no ice was coming from the refrigerator's ice maker.

We tested the water inlet valve (solenoid). It was receiving voltage but not working, so no water reached the ice maker.
